Day 4a (Gallup, NM to Grand Can through NO MAN'S LAND!)

There was a LOT of wind today and for some sections of the ride (from Tuba City to Grand Can.) the wind was HOT and DRY as HELL!

This could have been REALLY BAD (a strap got loss and got caught in my chain); thank goodness there was no real harm to me OR the bike!:

Moose (or mule deer?) at Grand Can (pretty much the ONLY wild life I saw on this trip):



Red feather hotel (same hotel my family and I stayed at a few years back); I had planned on camping at one of the camp grounds in Grand. Can., but decided at the last minute I would take a hotel instead:
