Day 7a (Bakersfield, CA to Santa Cruz, CA: A GLORIOUS!!! A GLORIOUS DAY!!! - leg 1 DONE!)

Now that I've had a good night's sleep, let me upload some more pics...
The ride from Bakersfield to Santa Cruz was, in a word, WONDERFUL!!!

weather was great, views OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!

(again, no order to the below pic notes and the following list of pics, i'll clean it all up some day)

--- These pics are in reverse order - not worth the time to reorder them ----

The TOXIC AVENGER CLAIMS CALIFORNIA!!!:

I finally reach my destination (Ben Lomond, CA):

Where my great cuz (Jeanie) welcomes me with open arms (and house!):

We're now at 20615 miles (1500 miles for leg 1 - thought it would be ~1300):

A small reward (milk shake!) for my efforts:

Ssome local wildlife (sea loins!):

Some more local wildlife (starfish under the water on boardwalk pole):

These would be "good eats"

Arrived safe and sound in Santa Cruz:

Now that is a nice cliff!

Here's a nice twisty road (with a bridge to cross):

And here's another!

The seagulls were happy to see me!

We're here (the pacific ocean)!

See Jeanie, I told you I would bring locusts (I'll be calling him "Splatter" let's see how long he stays with me):

First glimpse at what COULD be the Pacific (though fog covered):

Another long, lonley road:

No, this "drop off" is not a dangerous as it looks:

Some nice rolling hills:
